(b) providing pulsed radio frequency (RF) excitation to the magneto-optical defect center material using a pulsed RF excitation source; and
(c) receiving an optical signal emitted by the magneto-optical defect center material using an optical detector,wherein the magneto-optical defect center material comprises a plurality of magneto-optical defect centers,wherein (a) and (c) occur during (b), andwherein the optical light source is continuously applied throughout the method for magnetic detection.
