1. A method for determining a confidence rating, the method comprising:

  • storing, via one or more processors, a serviceable address record for a serviceable address, the serviceable address record comprising address data for the serviceable address, a geographic area classification for the serviceable address, and a reference point for the serviceable address, wherein (a) the address data comprises a physical address of the serviceable address, (b) the geographic area classification is one of a plurality of geographic area classifications and indicates the size of a zone of confidence for the serviceable address, and (c) the reference point comprises a geo coordinate around which the zone of confidence is defined for the serviceable address;

    receiving, via the one or more processors, a plurality of geo coordinate samples collected by a mobile device for a single visit, by a vehicle, to the serviceable address for delivery of an item, wherein at least one of the plurality of geo coordinate samples are collected in response to one or more triggering actions, and wherein the one or more triggering actions include at least one triggering action from a group of triggering actions consisting of;

    the vehicle exiting or entering a street network, the vehicle being in a parked position, ignition of the vehicle, an electronic signature capture event, and a scan/read event;

    storing, via the one or more processors, the plurality of geo coordinate samples collected by the mobile device for the single visit to the serviceable address for delivery of the item in an item record;

    responsive to receiving a request to confirm that delivery of the item was completed at the serviceable address, automatically retrieving, via the one or more processors, (a) the plurality of geo coordinate samples collected by the mobile device for the single visit to the serviceable address for delivery of the item from the item record, and (b) the geographic area classification and the reference point from the serviceable address record;

    determining, via the one or more processors, a number of the plurality of geo coordinate samples that are within the zone of confidence defined around the reference point for the serviceable address;

    determining, via one or more processors, a confidence rating for delivery of the item to the serviceable address based at least in part on the number of the plurality of geo coordinate samples that are within the zone of confidence; and

    assigning, via the one or more processors, the confidence rating to the delivery of the item to the serviceable address.
