Abstract

The present invention provides a compound having a cholinergic muscarinic M1 receptor positive allosteric modulator activity, which may be useful as a prophylactic or therapeutic drug for Alzheimer'"'"'s disease, schizophrenia, pain, sleep disorder, Parkinson'"'"'s disease dementia, dementia with Lewy bodies and the like. The present invention relates to a compound represented by the formula (I) or a salt thereof:

Claims

1. A method for treating Alzheimer'"'"'s disease, schizophrenia, cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia, pain, sleep disorder, Parkinson'"'"'s disease dementia, Parkinson'"'"'s disease, or dementia with Lewy bodies in a mammal, comprising:

administering an effective amount of 8-chloro-6-((6-chloropyridin-3-yl)methyl)-3-((1S,2S)-2-hydroxycyclopentyl)-7-methyl-2,3-dihydro-4H-1,3-benzoxazin-4-one or a salt thereof to the mammal.

2. A method for treating Alzheimer'"'"'s disease, schizophrenia, cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia, pain, sleep disorder, Parkinson'"'"'s disease dementia, Parkinson'"'"'s disease, or dementia with Lewy bodies in a mammal, comprising:

administering an effective amount of 3-((3S,4S)-4-hydroxytetrahydro-2H-pyran-3-yl)-7-methyl-6-(4-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)benzyl)-2,3-dihydro-4H-1,3-benzoxazin-4-one or a salt thereof to the mammal.
