1. A prosthetic heart valve, comprising:

  • a stent having a collapsed condition and an expanded condition and extending from an inflow end to an outflow end, the stent having a plurality of rows of cells extending around a circumference of the stent, each cell formed by a plurality of cell struts, selected cells including a bridging feature, each bridging feature including a first supplemental strut and a second supplemental strut, first ends of the first and second supplemental struts being coupled to cell struts of a respective selected cell, a second end of the first supplemental strut coupled to a second end of the second supplemental strut to form a free end of the bridging feature nested within the respective selected cell;

    a valve assembly disposed within the stent; and

    a cuff having an inflow end and an outflow end, selected edge portions of the outflow end of the cuff being coupled to the stent along the bridging features and to the free ends,wherein the selected cells each define a surface, and each bridging feature extends radially outward of a corresponding one of the surfaces in the absence of applied forces.
