1. A system for an aerial vehicle, the system comprising:
- a rotor defining a cylindrical body, the cylindrical body defining a first and second end, a rotor cylinder axis, and a rotor diameter;
a propeller comprising a hub and a propeller blade mechanically coupled to the hub, the hub defining a cylindrical void, the cylindrical void defining a hub cylinder axis and a hub inner diameter greater than the rotor diameter;
a radial alignment mechanism mechanically coupled to the rotor proximal the first end and to the hub, the radial alignment mechanism retaining the hub cylinder axis substantially collinear with the rotor cylinder axis, the radial alignment mechanism comprising;
a first surface defining a hole substantially centered on the rotor cylinder axis; and
a boss retained within the hole;
a rotational retention mechanism mechanically coupled to the rotor proximal the first end and to the hub, the rotational retention mechanism rotationally retaining the hub about the rotor axis with respect to the rotor, the rotational retention mechanism comprising;
a radial member extending radially inward of the cylindrical body; and
a limit member contacting the radial member; and
an axial retention mechanism mechanically coupled to the rotor proximal the second end and to the hub, the axial retention mechanism translationally retaining the hub with respect to the rotor along an axial direction parallel the rotor cylinder axis, the axial retention mechanism comprising;
a second surface defining a circumferential recess; and
a circumferential protrusion defined along a third surface separate from the second surface, the circumferential protrusion retained within the circumferential recess.
