Abstract

Embodiments include systems and methods comprising a gateway located at a premise forming at least one network on the premise that includes a plurality of premise devices. A sensor user interface (SUI) is coupled to the gateway and presented to a user via a remote device. The SUI includes at least one display element. The at least one display element includes a floor plan display that represents at least one floor of the premise. The floor plan display visually and separately indicates a location and a current state of each premise device of the plurality of premise devices.

Claims

1. An apparatus comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to;

access first data associated with at least a portion of a premises and a plurality of premises devices, wherein the first data comprises;

structural component information that indicates a structural component type of a structural component of the premises, indicates one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises, and indicates one or more physical characteristics associated with the structural component, and

premises device information that indicates a premises device of the plurality of premises devices,

access second data that indicates a state of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices, and

cause output of a sensor user interface (SUI), wherein the SUI comprises;

a layout portion that visually indicates the structural component, wherein the layout portion is based on the structural component information, and

a premises device icon corresponding to the premises device of the plurality of premises devices, wherein the premises device icon is based on the premises device information,

wherein a location, relative to the layout portion, of the premises device icon visually indicates a location of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices, and

wherein the premises device icon visually indicates, based on the second data, a state of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein at least one of the one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises or the one or more physical characteristics associated with the structural component are indicated by one or more vectors, wherein the structural component information comprises an array of characters indicating the one or more vectors, and wherein the array of characters indicates the structural component type of the structural component.

3. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the array of characters of the structural component information comprises at least one character indicating a vector type of the one or more vectors and at least one character indicating a vector value associated with the vector type, and wherein the vector value comprises at least one of a coordinate within the layout portion, a length, a width, and a height.

4. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein a second vector of the one or more vectors is indicated by the array of characters of the structural component information, and wherein the array of characters of the structural component information comprises a second at least one character indicating a second vector value associated with the vector type.

5. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises and the one or more physical characteristics associated with the structural component are indicated by a vector of the one or more vectors.

6. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the premises device information comprises an array of characters, and wherein the array of characters of the premises device information indicates the premises device of the plurality of premises devices.

7. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the array of characters of the premises device information comprises at least one character indicating a coordinate within the layout portion, wherein the location of the premises device icon is based on the coordinate.

8. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the array of characters of the premises device information comprises at least one character indicating a device identifier of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices.

9. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first data comprises label information indicating a label associated with the premises device icon, wherein the label information comprises an array of characters, wherein the array of characters of the label information comprises at least one character indicating at least one of a layout location and a label text, and wherein the SUI comprises, based on the label information, the label.

10. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the layout portion visually indicates the structural component type of the structural component.

11. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the structural component is visually indicated at a location, relative to the layout portion, based on the one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises.

12. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the structural component information comprises a structural component data structure, wherein the structural component data structure is configured to indicate the structural component type of the structural component of the premises, the one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises, and the one or more physical characteristics associated with the structural component.

13. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises comprises a location of the structural component at the premises.

14. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the one or more physical characteristics associated with the structural component comprises at least one of a height of the structural component, a width of the structural component, and a length of the structural component.

15. A method comprising:

accessing first data associated with at least a portion of a premises and a plurality of premises devices, wherein the at least a portion of the premises comprises a plurality of structural components, and wherein the first data comprises;

structural component information that indicates a structural component type of a structural component of the premises, indicates one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises, and indicates one or more physical characteristics associated with the structural component, and

premises device information that indicates a premises device of the plurality of premises devices;

accessing second data that indicates a state of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices; and

causing output of a sensor user interface (SUI), wherein the SUI comprises;

a layout portion that visually indicates the structural component, wherein the layout portion is based on the structural component information,

a premises device icon corresponding to the premises device of the plurality of premises devices, wherein the premises device icon is based on the premises device information,

wherein a location, relative to the layout portion, of the premises device icon visually indicates a location of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices, and

wherein the premises device icon visually indicates, based on the second data, a state of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein at least one of the one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises or the one or more physical characteristics associated with the structural component are indicated by one or more vectors, wherein the structural component information comprises an array of characters, indicating the one or more vectors, and wherein the array of characters indicates the structural component type of the structural component.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the array of characters of the structural component information comprises at least one character indicating a vector type of the one or more vectors and at least one character indicating a vector value associated with the vector type, and wherein the vector value comprises at least one of a coordinate within the layout portion, a length, a width, and a height.

18. The method of claim 17, wherein a second vector of the one or more vectors is indicated by the array of characters of the structural component information, and wherein the array of characters of the structural component information comprises a second at least one character indicating a second vector value associated with the vector type.

19. The method of claim 15, wherein the premises device information comprises an array of characters, and wherein the array of characters of the premises device information indicates the premises device of the plurality of premises devices.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the array of characters of the premises device information comprises at least one character indicating a coordinate within the layout portion, wherein the location of the premises device icon is based on the coordinate.

21. The method of claim 19, wherein the array of characters of the premises device information comprises at least one character indicating a device identifier of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices.

22. The method of claim 15, wherein the first data comprises label information indicating a label associated with the premises device icon, wherein the label information comprises an array of characters, wherein the array of characters of the label information comprises at least one character indicating at least one of a layout location and a label text, wherein the SUI comprises, based on the label information, the label.

23. The method of claim 15, wherein the layout portion visually indicates the structural component type of the structural component.

24. The method of claim 15, wherein the structural component is visually indicated at a location, relative to the layout portion, based on the one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises.

25. An apparatus comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to;

access first data that indicates a state of a premises device of a plurality of premises devices,

cause output of a sensor user interface (SUI) associated with at least a portion of a premises, wherein the SUI comprises;

a layout portion that visually indicates a structural component of the premises, and

a premises device icon, corresponding to the premises device of the plurality of premises devices,

wherein a location, relative to the layout portion, of the premises device icon visually indicates a location of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices, and

wherein the premises device icon visually indicates, based on the first data, the state of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices, and

determine, based on the SUI, second data associated with the at least a portion of the premises and the premises device of the plurality of premises devices, wherein the second data comprises;

structural component information that indicates a structural component type of the structural component, indicates one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises, and indicates one or more physical characteristics associated with the structural component, and

premises device information that indicates the premises device of the plurality of premises devices.

26. The apparatus of claim 25, wherein at least one of the one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises or the one or more physical characteristics associated with the structural component are indicated by one or more vectors, wherein the structural component information comprises an array of characters indicating the one or more vectors, and wherein the array of characters indicates the structural component type of the structural component.

27. The apparatus of claim 26, wherein the array of characters of the structural component information comprises at least one character indicating a vector type of the one or more vectors and at least one character indicating a vector value associated with the vector type, and wherein the vector value comprises at least one of a coordinate within the layout portion, a length, a width, and a height.

28. The apparatus of claim 27, wherein a second vector of the one or more vectors is indicated by the array of characters of the structural component information, and wherein the array of characters of the structural component information comprises a second at least one character indicating a second vector value associated with the vector type.

29. The apparatus of claim 25, wherein the premises device information comprises an array of characters, and wherein the array of characters of the premises device information indicates the premises device of the plurality of premises devices.

30. The apparatus of claim 29, wherein the array of characters of the premises device information comprises at least one character indicating a coordinate within the layout portion, wherein the location of the premises device icon is based on the coordinate.

31. The apparatus of claim 25, wherein the SUI comprises a label, wherein the label comprises text, and

wherein the second data comprises label information indicating the label associated with the premises device icon, wherein the label information comprises an array of characters, wherein the array of characters of the label information comprises at least one character indicating at least one of the label and the text.

32. The apparatus of claim 25, wherein the layout portion visually indicates the structural component type of the structural component.

33. The apparatus of claim 25, wherein the structural component is visually indicated at a location, relative to the layout portion, based on the one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises.

34. A method comprising:

accessing first data that indicates a state of a premises device of a plurality of premises devices;

causing output of a sensor user interface (SUI) associated with at least a portion of a premises, wherein the SUI comprises;

a layout portion that visually indicates a structural component of the premises, and

a premises device icon, corresponding to the premises device of the plurality of premises devices,

wherein a location, relative to the layout portion, of the premises device icon visually indicates a location of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices, and

wherein the premises device icon visually indicates, based on the first data, the state of the premises device of the plurality of premises devices; and

determining, based on the SUI, second data associated with the at least a portion of the premises and the premises device of the plurality of premises devices, wherein the second data comprises;

structural component information that indicates a structural component type of the structural component, indicates one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises, and indicates one or more physical characteristics associated with the structural component, and

premises device information that indicates the premises device of the plurality of premises devices.

35. The method of claim 34, wherein at least one of the one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises or the one or more physical characteristics associated with the structural component are indicated by one or more vectors, wherein the structural component information comprises an array of characters indicating the one or more vectors, and wherein the array of characters indicates the structural component type of the structural component.

36. The method of claim 35, wherein the array of characters of the structural component information comprises at least one character indicating a vector type of the one or more vectors and at least one character indicating a vector value associated with the vector type, and wherein the vector value comprises at least one of a coordinate within the layout portion, a length, a width, and a height.

37. The method of claim 36, wherein a second vector of the one or more vectors is indicated by the array of characters of the structural component information, and wherein the array of characters of the structural component information comprises a second at least one character indicating a second vector value associated with the vector type.

38. The method of claim 34, wherein the premises device information comprises an array of characters, and wherein the array of characters of the premises device information indicates the premises device of the plurality of premises devices.

39. The method of claim 38, wherein the array of characters of the premises device information comprises at least one character indicating a coordinate within the layout portion, wherein the location of the premises device icon is based on the coordinate.

40. The method of claim 38, wherein the array of characters of the premises device information comprises at least one character indicating a device identifier of the premises device.

41. The method of claim 34, wherein the SUI comprises a label, wherein the label comprises text, and

wherein the second data comprises a label information indicating the label associated with the premises device icon, wherein the label information comprises an array of characters, wherein the array of characters of the label information comprises at least one character indicating at least one of the label and the text.

42. The method of claim 34, wherein the layout portion visually indicates the structural component type of the structural component.

43. The method of claim 34, wherein the structural component is visually indicated at a location, relative to the layout portion, based on the one or more physical characteristics associated with the premises.
