1. A connector configured to connect a first portion of a hearing assistance device to a second portion of the heating assistance device, the connector comprising:
- an insulator;
electrical components integrated with the insulator; and
multi-axis conductive traces overlaying the insulator, the conductive traces configured to follow non-planar contours of the insulator and to connect the integrated electrical components to hearing assistance electronics in one or more of the first and second portions of the hearing assistance device,wherein the insulator includes the conductive traces on a first side and a second side of the insulator, and wherein the conductive traces on the first side of the insulator are configured to couple a microphone to the heating assistance electronics, and wherein the conductive traces on the second side of the insulator are configured to couple a receiver to the hearing assistance electronics.
