1. A method of operating a client in a wireless communication system, comprising:

  • identifying a first transmission control protocol (TCP) connection and a second TCP connection that are established for the client, wherein the first TCP connection is different from the second TCP connection;

    identifying an initiation of a close for the first TCP connection, wherein the first TCP connection is maintained in response to the initiation of the close for the first TCP connection;

    identifying an initiation of a close for the second TCP connection during the maintenance of the first TCP connection after the initiation of the close for the first TCP connection; and

    closing both the first TCP connection and the second TCP connection in response to the initiation of the close for the second TCP connection.
