1. A rotating electric machine comprising:

  • a housing;

    a rotating shaft rotatably supported by the housing;

    a rotor fixed on the rotating shaft;

    a stator including an annular stator core and a stator coil wound on the stator core, the stator core being located radially outside the rotor so as to radially face the rotor, the stator coil having a coil end protruding from an axial end face of the stator core; and

    a cooling device configured to supply cooling liquid to an upper part of the coil end of the stator coil,whereinthe rotating electric machine further comprises;

    (a) an electrical component; and

    (b) a heat sink provided for cooling the electrical component,the housing includes a cylindrical wall that has a cooling liquid-receiving portion located vertically under the upper part of the coil end of the stator coil so as to receive the cooling liquid falling down from the upper part of the coil end, andin a space formed inside the cylindrical wall of the housing, there is arranged the heat sink.
