1. A terminal comprising:

  • reception circuitry, which, in operation, receives configuration information indicative of a candidate subframe used by the terminal to transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS);

    control circuitry, which is coupled to the reception circuitry and which, in operation, generates repetition signals by repeating a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) signal over a plurality of consecutive subframes, wherein,when the plurality of consecutive subframes include the candidate subframe for transmitting the SRS, a transmission format which accommodates the SRS transmission is set for all of the plurality of consecutive subframes including those subframes other than the candidate subframe;

    transmission circuitry, which is coupled to the control circuitry and which, in operation, transmits the repetition signals in the plurality of consecutive subframes for all of which the same transmission format is set.
