1. A computer-implemented method for providing subordinate forum portal options based on a set of resources a user has inquiries about, the method comprising:
- providing, prior to a receiving of a first user request, a notification, the notification specifying an inquiry to the user to join a subordinate forum portal based on the user'"'"'s resourcesreceiving, within a main forum portal, the first user request identifying a plurality of resources of the first user, the plurality of resources corresponding to one or more user questions about the plurality of resources, wherein the plurality of resources of the first user are programmatically identified, wherein the plurality of resources of the first user include one or more resources selected from the group comprising apparatuses, components of apparatuses, systems, or program applications, and wherein the one or more resources are part of a computing system associated with the first user;
identifying at least a first subordinate forum portal of the main forum portal that is associated with at least one of the plurality of resources;
providing, based on at least the identifying, a first option for use in joining the first subordinate forum portal;
providing at least a second option for use in joining a second subordinate forum portal; and
ranking the first option and the second option, the ranking is based at least on a first matching percentage and a second matching percentage, the first matching percentage indicating a percentage of the plurality of resources that are identified in the first subordinate portal, and the second matching percentage indicating a percentage of the plurality of resources that are identified in the second subordinate forum portal, wherein the ranking is further based on a quantity of users associated with the first subordinate forum portal and the second subordinate forum portal and further based on an activity level within the first subordinate forum portal and the second subordinate forum portal, and further based on a recency of the activity level.
