1. An electronic device comprising:
- a power receiver including a receiver coil configured to receive a power signal from a wireless power transmitting device and a wireless charging integrated circuit (IC) configured to convert the power signal into electrical energy;
a power management circuit electrically connected to the power receiver and configured to charge a battery using the electrical energy; and
a processor electrically connected with the power receiver and the power management circuit,wherein the processor is configured to activate a power hold mode if a charging level of the battery is a fully charged level and allow the power receiver to transmit a charging hold message representing that the power hold mode is activated to the wireless power transmitting device,wherein the power receiver is configured to receive a charging hold message from the wireless power transmitting device in an active state of the power hold mode, andwherein the processor is configured to control auxiliary charging of the battery based on a current charging level of the battery, in response to receiving the charging hold message.

Abstract
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a power receiver (PRx) that includes a receiver coil for receiving a power signal from a wireless power transmitting device and a wireless charging integrated circuit (IC) for converting the power signal into electrical energy, a power management circuit that is electrically connected to the PRx and configured to charge a battery using the electrical energy, and a processor that is electrically connected with the PRx and the power management circuit. The processor activates a power hold mode (PHM) if a charging level of the battery is a fully charged level and controls auxiliary charging of the battery.
