1. A computer program product comprising computer executable code embodied in a non-transitory computer readable medium that, when executing on one or more computing devices, performs the steps of:

  • displaying an in-progress document containing user-editable information about an entity in a first window of a computer;

    identifying a plurality of search results from one or more sources that identify documents each containing a mention with a predetermined likelihood of referring to the entity described in the in-progress document displayed in the first window;

    displaying the search results in a second window in an order ranked according to differences from the in-progress document based on a dissimilarity measurement calculated with a dissimilarity model that quantifies differences between feature vectors for two documents;

    presenting content of one of the search results as an item for display by the computer;

    in response to a user selection of the item, adding the item to the in-progress document in the first window, thereby providing a change to the in-progress document; and

    in response to the change to the in-progress document in the first window, automatically offering an updated search result for the second window with the computer.
