1. A method by a terminal in a communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving scheduling carrier information from a base station;
identifying a first carrier associated with a transmission of control information for a data transmission on a second carrier based on the scheduling carrier information; and
receiving the control information on a resource in the first carrier,wherein the scheduling carrier information indicates that the first carrier is an own carrier compared to the second carrier or an index of the first carrier in a case that the first carrier is an other carrier compared to the second carrier,wherein in a case that the scheduling carrier information indicates that the first carrier is the own carrier, the first carrier is linked to the second carrier, andwherein in a case that the scheduling carrier information indicates the index of the first carrier, the first carrier is not linked to the second carrier.
