1. A method of treating a skin of a patient, the method comprising:
- positioning a surface of a distal tip of an abrasion device against the skin of the patient, where the distal tip comprises a plurality of spaced apart flexible elements extending on the surface of the distal tip from a periphery of the surface towards a central shaft portion of the surface, where the spaced apart flexible elements include an abrasive surface;
actuating the spaced apart flexible elements by rotating the central shaft portion to displace the spaced apart flexible elements such that the surface of the distal tip reciprocates in a rotational motion independently of a housing of the abrasion device to cause the abrasive surface of the distal tip to remove a surface of the skin of the patient;
delivering a fluid to the surface of the distal tip such that the fluid flows between the spaced apart flexible elements to contact the skin of the patient;
providing a negative pressure between the spaced apart flexible elements to aspirate fluid and tissue away from the skin of the patient.
