1. A method comprising:
- receiving, with circuitry of a medical device, a first signal generated from a second signal;
correlating, with the circuitry of the medical device, the first signal with a set of frequency components of a frequency band of the second signal in order to generate a filtered signal, wherein correlating the first signal with the set of frequency components comprises;
correlating the first signal with a set of waveforms of a periodic basis set, wherein each waveform of the set of waveforms corresponds to a respective frequency component of the set of frequency components such that a frequency of each waveform of the set of waveforms of the periodic basis set is the respective frequency component of the set of frequency components, andweighting relatively more recent portions of the first signal more heavily than relatively less recent portions of the first signal as part of correlating the first signal with the set of waveforms of the periodic basis set;
determining a phase of the frequency band based on the filtered signal;
instructing, with the circuitry of the medical device, a therapy module to deliver therapy based on the phase of the frequency band; and
delivering, with the therapy module, the therapy.

Abstract
Techniques are described for real-time phase detection. For the phase detection, a signal is correlated with a frequency component of a frequency band whose phase is being detected, and the correlation includes predominantly decreasing weighting of past portions of the signals.
