1. A communications node operable to communicate with another communications node, the communications node comprising:

  • a processor configured to determine a first value; and

    a transceiver circuit configured to transmit, to the another communications node, information which is related to resource allocation;

    wherein the processor is further configured to determine at least one communication resource based on the first value and a second value,wherein the transceiver circuit is further configured to receive uplink data from the another communications node using the at least one communication resource,wherein the second value is determined based on a frequency hopping function multiplied by a size of a sub-band,wherein the communications node is a NodeB and the another communications node is a user equipment (UE),wherein the information is determined based on the first value, andwherein the at least one communication resource is determined based on an equation, A mod B, wherein the A is determined based on the first value and the second value, and wherein the B is a number of resource blocks within an uplink bandwidth.
