Abstract

The present invention provides a method and device for configuring an uplink operating frequency band for user equipment from among all the uplink system bands. The user equipment transmits an uplink control channel on the uplink frequency band. The uplink operating frequency band includes six resource blocks in a frequency domain. The uplink control channel is transmitted using the lowest frequency resource block and the highest frequency resource block from among the six resource blocks within the uplink operating frequency band.

Claims

1. A method of transmitting an uplink channel by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:

receiving system information including information on an uplink system band;

transmitting a random access preamble on the uplink system band;

receiving a random access response related to the random access preamble; and

transmitting a first physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) for carrying Msg3 based on the random access response,

wherein the uplink system band comprises a plurality of uplink frequency bands in a frequency domain,

wherein each of the plurality of uplink frequency bands includes only 6 consecutive resource blocks in the frequency domain,

wherein the random access response includes frequency resource information for

the first PUSCH,

wherein the frequency resource information includes frequency band allocation information designating an uplink frequency band from among the plurality of uplink frequency bands included in the uplink system band,

and resource allocation information designating at least one resource block from among resource blocks included in the designated uplink frequency band, and

wherein the first PUSCH is transmitted on the at least one resource block in the designated uplink frequency band.

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) is transmitted in a time unit configured for a sounding reference signal (SRS),

wherein the time unit comprises 14 single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) symbols in a time domain, and

wherein the PUCCH is transmitted in 13the time unit except for the last SC-FDM symbol of the time unit.

3. The method according to claim 1, further comprising:

receiving configuration information regarding a second uplink frequency band; and

performing frequency switching for switching from the designated uplink frequency band to the second uplink frequency band between first and second time units based on the configuration information,

wherein each of the first time unit and the second time unit consists of 14 single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) symbols in a time domain, and the first time unit and the second time unit are consecutive in the time domain,

wherein the last SC-FDMA symbol of the first time unit is used as a gap for the frequency switching, and

wherein no physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and no PUSCH are mapped to the gap, and transmission of sounding reference signal (SRS) is omitted in the gap.

4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the random access response further includes information on a downlink frequency band from among a plurality of downlink frequency bands included in a downlink system band related to the uplink system band,

wherein each of the downlink frequency bands includes only 6 consecutive resource blocks in the frequency domain, and

wherein the method further comprises:

receiving a downlink channel on a downlink frequency band.

5. The method according to claim 1, further comprising:

transmitting a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in the designated uplink frequency band,

wherein the PUCCH is transmitted on the lowest resource block and the highest resource block among 6 consecutive resource blocks included in the designated uplink frequency band.

6. A user equipment (UE) for transmitting an uplink channel, the UE comprising:

a transceiver; and

a processor configured to;

control the transceiver to receive system information including information on an uplink system band,

control the transceiver to transmit a random access preamble on the uplink system band,

control the transceiver to receive a random access response related to the random access preamble,

control the transceiver to transmit a first physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) for carrying Msg3 based on the random access response,

wherein the uplink system band comprises a plurality of uplink frequency bands in a frequency domain,

wherein each of the plurality of uplink frequency bands includes only 6 consecutive resource blocks in the frequency domain

wherein the random access response includes frequency resource information for the first PUSCH,

wherein the frequency resource information includes frequency band allocation information designating an uplink frequency band from among the plurality of uplink frequency bands included in the uplink system band,

and resource allocation information designating at least one resource block from among resource blocks included in the designated uplink frequency band, and

wherein the first PUSCH is transmitted on the at least one resource block in the designated uplink frequency band.

7. The UE according to claim 6, wherein a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) is transmitted in a time unit configured for a sounding reference signal (SRS),

wherein the time unit comprises 14 single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) symbols in a time domain, and

wherein the PUCCH is transmitted in the time unit except for the last SC-FDM symbol of the time unit.

8. The UE according to claim 6, wherein the processor is configured to:

control the transceiver to receive configuration information regarding a second uplink frequency band, and

perform frequency switching for switching an operating band of the UE from the designated uplink frequency band to the second uplink frequency band between first and second time units based on the configuration information,

wherein each of the first time unit and the second time unit consists of 14 single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) symbols in a time domain, and the first time unit and the second time unit are consecutive in the time domain, and

wherein the last SC-FDMA symbol of the first time unit is used as a gap for the frequency switching, and

wherein no physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and no PUSCH are mapped to the gap, and transmission of a sounding reference signal (SRS) is omitted in the gap.

9. The UE according to claim 6, wherein the random access response further includes information on a downlink frequency band from among a plurality of downlink frequency bands included in a downlink system band related to the uplink system band,

wherein each of the downlink frequency bands includes only 6 consecutive resource blocks in the frequency domain, and

wherein the processor is configured to control the transceiver to receive a downlink channel on the downlink frequency band.

10. The UE according to claim 6, wherein the processor is configured to:

control the transceiver to transmit a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in the designated uplink frequency band,

wherein the PUCCH is transmitted on the lowest resource block and the highest resource block among 6 consecutive resource blocks included in the designated uplink frequency band.

11. A method of receiving an uplink channel by a base station (BS), the method comprising:

transmitting system information including information on an uplink system band;

receiving, from a user equipment (UE), a random access preamble on the uplink system band;

transmitting, to the UE, a random access response related to the random access preamble; and

receiving a first physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) for carrying Msg3 based on the random access response,

wherein the uplink system band comprises a plurality of uplink frequency bands in a frequency domain,

wherein each of the plurality of uplink frequency bands includes only 6 consecutive resource blocks in the frequency domain,

wherein the random access response includes frequency resource information for the first PUSCH,

wherein the frequency resource information includes frequency band allocation information designating an uplink frequency band from among the plurality of uplink frequency bands included in the uplink system band,

and resource allocation information designating at least one resource block from among resource blocks included in the designated uplink frequency band, and

wherein the first PUSCH is received on the at least one resource block in the designated uplink frequency band.

12. The method according to claim 11, wherein a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) is received in a time unit configured for a sounding reference signal (SRS),

wherein the time unit comprises 14 single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) symbols in a time domain, and

wherein the PUCCH is received in the time unit except for the last SC-FDM symbol of the time unit.

13. The method according to claim 11, further comprising:

transmitting configuration information regarding a second uplink frequency band; and

performing frequency switching for switching an operating band for the UE from the designated uplink frequency band to the second uplink frequency band between first and second time units based on the configuration information,

wherein each of the first time unit and the second time unit consists of 14 single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) symbols in a time domain, and the first time unit and the second time unit are consecutive in the time domain,

wherein the last SC-FDMA symbol of the first time unit is used as a gap for the frequency switching, and

wherein no physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and no PUSCH are mapped to the gap, and reception of a sounding reference signal (SRS) is omitted in the gap.

14. The method according to claim 11, wherein the random access response further includes information on a downlink frequency band from among a plurality of downlink frequency bands included in a downlink system band related to the uplink system band,

wherein each of the downlink frequency bands includes only 6 consecutive resource blocks in the frequency domain, and

wherein the method further comprises:

transmitting a downlink channel on a downlink frequency band.

15. The method according to claim 11, further comprising:

receiving, from the UE, a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in the designated uplink frequency band,

wherein the PUCCH is received on the lowest resource block and the highest resource block among 6 consecutive resource blocks included in the designated uplink frequency band.

16. A base station (BS) for receiving an uplink channel, the BS comprising:

a transceiver; and

a processor configured to;

control the transceiver to transmit system information including information on an uplink system band,

control the transceiver to receive, from a user equipment (UE), a random access preamble on the uplink system band,

control the transceiver to transmit, to the UE, a random access response related to the random access preamble,

control the transceiver to receive a first physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) for carrying Msg3 based on the random access response,

wherein the random access response includes frequency resource information for the first PUSCH,

wherein the frequency resource information includes frequency band allocation information designating an uplink frequency band from among the plurality of uplink frequency bands included in the uplink system band,

and resource allocation information designating at least one resource block from among resource blocks included in the designated uplink frequency band, and

wherein the first PUSCH is received on the at least one resource block in the designated uplink frequency band.

17. The BS according to claim 16, wherein a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) is received in a time unit configured for a sounding reference signal (SRS), and

wherein the time unit comprises 14 single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) symbols in a time domain, and

wherein the PUCCH is received in the time unit except for the last SC-FDM symbol of the time unit.

18. The BS according to claim 16, wherein the processor is configured to:

control the transceiver to transmit configuration information regarding a second uplink frequency band, and

perform frequency switching for switching an operating band for the UE from the designated uplink frequency band to the second uplink frequency band between first and second time units based on the configuration information,

wherein each of the first time unit and the second time unit consists of 14 single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) symbols in a time domain, and the first time unit and the second time unit are consecutive in the time domain,

wherein the last SC-FDMA symbol of the first time unit is used as a gap for the frequency switching, and

wherein no physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and no PUSCH are mapped to the gap, and reception of a sounding reference signal (SRS) is omitted in the gap.

19. The BS according to claim 16, wherein the random access response further includes information on a downlink frequency band from among a plurality of downlink frequency bands included in a downlink system band related to the uplink system band,

wherein each of the downlink frequency bands includes only 6 consecutive resource blocks in the frequency domain, and

wherein the processor is configured to control the transceiver to transmit a downlink channel on the downlink frequency band.

20. The BS according to claim 16, wherein the processor is configured to:

control the transceiver to receive, from the UE, a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in the designated uplink frequency band,

wherein the PUCCH is received on the lowest resource block and the highest resource block among 6 consecutive resource blocks included in the designated uplink frequency band.
