1. A fluid reservoir for a fluid infusion device, comprising:
- a first portion that has a first end and a second end, the first end includes a first surface that includes a fluid delivery port and a second surface that defines a ramp that extends from the fluid delivery port to an annular groove, the annular groove defined about a perimeter of the second surface, with a sharp corner defined at an outer end of the ramp that transitions from the ramp to the annular groove, the annular groove defined beyond the second surface in a direction of fluid flow from the fluid reservoir, the ramp and the annular groove cooperate to retain bubbles within the fluid reservoir;
a second portion received in the second end of the first portion and movable within the first portion from the second end to the first end; and
a fluid chamber defined between the first portion and the second portion.
