1. A method for an electronic device having a display and a touch-sensitive input device, comprising:
- displaying a first keypad on the display;
obtaining sensed information from the touch-sensitive input device responsive to user input in association with the first keypad;
determining the user input to be for a second keypad different from the first keypad;
determining a corresponding input to the user input using the sensed information in association with the second keypad;
displaying the corresponding input on the display; and
wherein the determining the corresponding input comprises;
using the sensed information in association with the second keypad to obtain a representation of the user input;
locating the representation in a language dictionary in association with the second keypad; and
providing the representation as the corresponding input for displaying thereof.

Abstract
Method(s) and apparatus(es) relating generally to an electronic device having a display and a touch-sensitive input device are disclosed. In such a method, a first keypad is displayed on the display. Obtained is sensed information from the touch-sensitive input device responsive to user input in association with the first keypad. The user input is determined to be for a second keypad different from the first keypad. A corresponding input to the user input is determined using the sensed information in association with the second keypad. The corresponding input is displayed on the display.

4. A program product, comprising:
-
a computer-readable storage medium of an app server; a computer-readable program stored on the computer-readable storage medium; wherein the computer-readable program is capable of being processed by a programmed processor of an electronic device for causing the programmed processor to execute instructions including; determining sensed information corresponds to keys of a second keypad different than a previously set first keypad; and wherein to determine the sensed information corresponds to the keys of the second keypad, the instructions configure the programmed processor to; compare the sensed information in association with the first keypad for a representation in a language dictionary; and determine user input is in association with the second keypad by absence of the representation in the language dictionary. - View Dependent Claims (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12)
