1. A system comprising:

  • a support comprising a linking agent that binds a targeting domain anda plurality of enzymes in the glycolytic pathway, wherein said plurality of enzymes are positioned in the system to collectively produce adenosine triphosphate from glucose or fructose metabolism, wherein said plurality of enzymes comprises hexokinase, glucose 6-phosphate isomerase, 6-phosphofructokinase, aldolase, triose-phosphate-isomerase, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate-dehydrogenase, phosphoglycerate kinase, phosphoglycerate mutase, enolase, and pyruvate kinase, wherein a germ cell-specific targeting/scaffolding domain of at least one enzyme of said plurality of enzymes has been replaced with the targeting domain that specifically binds to the linking agent of the support, wherein the at least one enzyme comprises hexokinase, glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase, aldolase, or pyruvate kinase, andwherein the system is contained within a device.
