Method and terminal for requesting and acquiring information relating to channel access in wireless LAN, and apparatus for providing information relating to channel access in wireless LAN
First Claim
1. A terminal for communicating in a channel access in a wireless local area network (WLAN), the terminal comprising:
- a transmitter to transmit, to an access point (AP), a power save (PS)-poll frame for requesting the AP to reschedule a wakeup timing of the terminal; and
a receiver to receive an acknowledgement (ACK) frame from the AP in response to the PS-poll frame, the ACK frame including information for rescheduling the wakeup timing of the terminal, wherein the terminal is a non-traffic indication map (non-TIM) station that is not required to listen for traffic indication map (TIM) beacon frames, wherein the ACK frame is a Target Wake Time ACK (TACK) frame, wherein the information for rescheduling the wakeup timing of the terminal included in the ACK frame comprises a value associated with a wakeup of the terminal, wherein the value is associated with a next Target Beacon Transmit Time (TBTT),wherein the terminal as the non-TIM station wakes up based on the value associated with the next TBTT and listens for a beacon frame including information related to a time, wherein the terminal as the non-TIM station resynchronizes to the beacon frame based on the value associated with the next TBTT, andwherein the terminal as the non-TIM station identifies a resource for a channel and accesses the channel based on the resynchronized beacon frame.

Abstract
Provided are a terminal for requesting and acquiring information associated with a channel access in a wireless local area network (WLAN) and an apparatus for providing information associated with a channel access in a WLAN, and more particularly, the terminal for requesting and acquiring information associated with a channel access in a WLAN according to an example embodiment may verify whether a beacon is received during a predetermined beacon interval, transmit a group and slot information request signal when the beacon is verified not to be received, and receive a group and slot information response signal in response to the group and slot information request signal.
