1. An additive manufacturing method, the method comprising:
- positioning a removable surface on a worktable;
applying an adhesive material to the removable surface;
depositing a plurality of pellets into the adhesive material before the adhesive material sets, wherein at least a portion of each pellet of the plurality of pellets remains exposed;
depositing a flowable material on at least some of the plurality of pellets, causing at least one of the plurality of pellets to at least partially melt, wherein the flowable material and the plurality of pellets include the same thermoplastic material; and
altering a position of the at least one of the deposited plurality of pellets relative to the removable surface without disengaging the at least one of the plurality of pellets from the adhesive material.

12. An additive manufacturing method, the method comprising:
-
applying an adhesive material to a removable surface; depositing a plurality of pellets into the adhesive material after the adhesive material is applied to the removable surface and before the adhesive material sets, wherein a portion of each pellet of the plurality of pellets remains exposed from a surface of the adhesive and a portion of the each pellet extends within the adhesive material; and extruding a flowable material on at least some of the plurality of pellets, wherein the flowable material includes a reinforcing material embedded therein; and altering a position of the at least one of the deposited plurality of pellets relative to the removable surface without disengaging the at least one of the plurality of pellets from the adhesive material. - View Dependent Claims (13, 14, 15, 16)
