1. A light emitting diode (LED) tube lamp configured to receive an external driving signal, the LED tube lamp comprising:

  • an LED module for emitting light, the LED module comprising an LED unit comprising an LED;

    a rectifying circuit for rectifying the received external driving signal to produce a rectified signal;

    a mode determination circuit coupled to the rectifying circuit, for the LED tube lamp to be able to operate in each of two modes of lighting operation, and configured to generate a signal for determining whether to perform a first mode or a second mode of lighting operation according to a state of a property of the received external driving signal; and

    a noise suppressing circuit coupled to the rectifying circuit and the LED unit, for reducing abrupt change in current flowing through the LED tube lamp;

    wherein the mode determination circuit includes or is coupled to a switching circuit coupled to the LED unit and configured to receive the signal generated by the mode determination circuit, andthe switching circuit is configured to conduct current or be cut off according to the signal generated by the mode determination circuit;

    wherein the mode determination circuit includes or is coupled to a detecting circuit configured to detect a state of a property of the received external driving signal or the rectified signal, and the detecting circuit comprises a voltage divider configured to produce a first fraction voltage of the rectified signal and a second fraction voltage of the rectified signal.
