First Claim
1. A system to illuminate at least a portion of a ceiling, comprising:
- a light fixture, supported at a wall or a ceiling, comprising a light source enclosed within the light fixture and configured to emanate light directionally away from the wall towards at least a portion of the ceiling;
a protrusion of the light fixture extending away from and below the light source, wherein a bent end of the protrusion is bent upwards to direct light at a predetermined angle towards the ceiling, wherein a first end of the protrusion is positioned at the light source, and the bent end of the protrusion is opposite the first end of the protrusion; and
an optic attached above the light source and extending above and externally towards the bent end of the protrusion, wherein a first portion of the optic at the first end of the protrusion is thicker than a second portion of the optic at the bent end of the protrusion, and the optic is configured to direct a portion of light towards the bent end.
