1. A machine implemented method for animations displayed on a display of a data processing device, comprising:
- providing a single animation timer for use with a user interface animator; and
transferring a call to animate a plurality of animations with the single animation timer, wherein the single animation timer controls a synchronization of the plurality of animations to be displayed together, wherein synchronizing of the plurality of animations includes modifying display setting attributes or properties of a plurality of views corresponding to the plurality of animations, and wherein the single animation timer is used to determine whether to modify the display setting attributes or properties of the plurality of views based on progress information.
