Abstract

Disclosed in the present invention is a method by which a terminal reports channel status information (CSI) to a base station in a wireless communication system. The method comprises the steps of: receiving, through an upper layer, information on one CSI process having a first enhanced multiple input multiple output (eMIMO) type and a second eMIMO type; receiving a first channel status information-reference signal (CSI-RS) corresponding to the first eMIMO type; periodically reporting, to the base station, first CSI measured on the basis of the first CSI-RS; receiving a second CSI-RS, which corresponds to the second eMIMO type, beamformed on the basis of the first CSI; and periodically reporting, to the base station, second CSI measured on the basis of the second CSI-RS, wherein a priority of the first CSI is set to be equal to a priority of a CSI-RS resource indicator (CRI).

Claims

1. A method of reporting channel status information (CSI) to a base station by a terminal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving information about one CSI process including a first enhanced multiple input multiple output (eMIMO) type and a second eMIMO type through a higher layer;

receiving a first channel status information-reference signal (CSI-RS) corresponding to the first eMIMO type;

periodically reporting first CSI measured based on the first CSI-RS to the base station;

receiving a second CSI-RS corresponding to the second eMIMO type, beamformed based on the first CSI; and

periodically reporting second CSI measured based on the second CSI-RS to the base station,

wherein a priority of the first CSI is set to be equal to a priority of a CSI-RS resource indicator (CRI).

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein if the first CSI including a precoding matrix index (PMI) collides with the second CSI including a rank indicator (RI), the second CSI is dropped.

3. The method according to claim 1, wherein a reporting period of the first CSI is determined to be a multiple of a longest reporting period of the second CSI.

4. The method according to claim 3, wherein the longest reporting period of the second CSI is a reporting period of an RI included in the second CSI.

5. The method according to claim 4, wherein if the RI is not included in the second CSI, the longest reporting period of the second CSI is a reporting period of a channel quality indicator (CQI) included in the second CSI.

6. The method according to claim 3, wherein an offset for the reporting period of the first CSI is determined based on an offset for the longest reporting period of the second CSI.

7. A terminal in a wireless communication system, the terminal comprising:

a wireless communication module configured to transmit and receive signals to and from a base station; and

a processor configured to process the signals,

wherein the processor is configured to receive information about one CSI process including a first enhanced multiple input multiple output (eMIMO) type and a second eMIMO type through a higher layer, to periodically report, to the base station, first CSI measured based on a first channel status information-reference signal (CSI-RS) corresponding to the first eMIMO type, and to periodically report second CSI measured based on a second CSI-RS corresponding to the second eMIMO type, beamformed based on the first CSI, and

wherein a priority of the first CSI is set to be equal to a priority of a CSI-RS resource indicator (CRI).

8. The terminal according to claim 7, wherein if the first CSI including a precoding matrix index (PMI) collides with the second CSI including a rank indicator (RI), the second CSI is dropped.

9. The terminal according to claim 7, wherein a reporting period of the first CSI is determined to be a multiple of a longest reporting period of the second CSI.

10. The terminal according to claim 9, wherein the longest reporting period of the second CSI is a reporting period of an RI included in the second CSI.

11. The terminal according to claim 10, wherein if the RI is not included in the second CSI, the longest reporting period of the second CSI is a reporting period of a channel quality indicator (CQI) included in the second CSI.

12. The terminal according to claim 9, wherein an offset for the reporting period of the first CSI is determined based on an offset for the longest reporting period of the second CSI.
