1. A clot retrieval device for removing clot from a blood vessel, comprising:

  • a framework of struts forming a porous inner body flow channel and having a tubular main body portion and a distal portion; and

    a framework of struts forming an outer body radially surrounding the tubular main body portion of the inner body during both the collapsed delivery configuration and the expanded deployed configuration, the outer body comprising;

    a first scaffolding segment with a plurality of cells,a second scaffolding segment with a plurality of cells and distal of the first scaffolding segment, the porous inner body flow channel extending inside the first and second scaffolding segments;

    wherein the outer body is expandable to a radial extent greater than the porous inner body flow channel to define in an inlet mouth between the first and second scaffolding segments and the porous inner body flow channel, the inlet mouth being larger than the cells of the second scaffolding segment;

    wherein the distal portion of the porous inner body flow channel being located within the outer tubular body and adjacent a distal end portion of the outer tubular body, and extending in the deployed configuration towards the tubular main body to a greater extent than the tubular main body portion.
