1. An implant configured to be positioned within an aneurysm, the implant comprising:

  • an expandable mesh ribbon formed of a tubular braid flattened along at least a portion of its longitudinal axis such that opposing sidewalls of the tubular braid are urged towards one another, the mesh ribbon having a collapsed, elongated configuration for delivery through a catheter to an aneurysm and an expanded configuration in which the mesh ribbon curves into a biased, predetermined, three-dimensional shape, wherein the mesh ribbon has a first portion and a second portion coupled to the first portion along the length of the mesh ribbon, and wherein, when the mesh ribbon is in the expanded configuration, the first portion curves around the second portion such that the first and second portions overlap.
