1. A device for supporting an electronic display, the device comprising:
- a base;
a display mount movably connected to the base, the display mount movable between a first portrait position and a second landscape position; and
a connection mechanism positioned between the base and the display mount, the connection mechanism configured to couple a rotation of a centerpoint of the display mount relative to the base to a vertical translation of the centerpoint of the display mount relative to the base such that the display mount experiences rotation and vertical translation when the display mount is moved a translation distance between the first portrait position and the second landscape position, where the display mount increases in vertical height from the first portrait position to the second landscape position, where vertical height is the translation distance.

Abstract
A device for supporting an electronic display includes a base, a display mount, and a connection mechanism positioned between the base and the display mount. The display mount is movably connected to the base and movable between a first position and a second position. The connection mechanism is configured to couple a rotation of the display mount relative to base to a translation of the display mount relative to the base such that the display mount experiences rotation and translation when the display mount is moved between the first position and the second position.

13. A display system, the system comprising:
-
a base; a display movably connected to the base at a connection point having a first position and a second position, the display having a centerpoint; and a connection mechanism positioned at the connection point, the connection mechanism configured to rotate and translate the display relative to the base, the connection mechanism having a pivot point about which the display pivots that is offset a translation distance from the centerpoint, the vertical height of the centerpoint in the portrait position the translation distance lower than the vertical height in the landscape position. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16)

17. A display system, the system comprising:
-
a base; a display mount movably connected to the base having a first portrait position and a second landscape position; a display fixed to the display mount; a connection mechanism positioned between the display mount and the base, the connection mechanism configured to simultaneously rotate and translate a centerpoint of the mount between the first portrait position and the second landscape position, where the centerpoint of the display mount experiences rotation and vertical translation when the display mount is moved a translation distance between the first portrait position and the second landscape position, where the display mount increases in vertical height from the first portrait position to the second landscape position; and a counterbalance device configured to apply at least a rotational counterbalance force to the display mount that is within 60% of a gravitational force of the display mount and display. - View Dependent Claims (18, 19, 20)
