1. An anchor extension for releasably coupling to a spinal bone anchor, comprising:

  • an elongate hollow sleeve having a distal end, a proximal end, and a perimetric sidewall defining a bore through said distal and proximal ends, said perimetric sidewall extending continuously around the bore at the proximal end of said elongate hollow sleeve, an interlocking engagement surface defined adjacent the distal end of said elongate hollow sleeve, a plurality of persuader coupling members on an outer surface of said elongate hollow sleeve on the continuous portion of said sidewall, each persuader coupling member being independently attachable to a rod persuader;

    each of said persuader coupling members comprising a rack coupling arrangement; and

    an anchor engaging member projecting radially from the distal end of said elongate hollow sleeve for engaging the bone anchor.
