1. A method for presenting geographic data on a client computing device, the method comprising:

  • generating, by one or more processors, geographic information cards for respective geographic entities, wherein the geographic information cards are of an equal size and correspond to geographic regions of different sizes or geometries, and wherein each geographic information card includes indications displayed within the geographic information card of one or more of;

    (i) photographs of the geographic entity, (ii) points of interest (POIs) within the geographic entity, or (iii) reviews of POIs within the geographic entity, and each geographic information card does not include a geometry of map features within the geographic entity;

    generating, by the one or more processors, a representation of a geographic area using the geographic information cards, including placing each geographic information card relative to the rest of the geographic information cards in accordance with relative geographic positioning of the corresponding geographic entities; and

    providing, by the one or more processors, the representation of the geographic area in a grid-pattern via a user interface of the client computing device, wherein at least some of the geographic information cards are individually selectable to display additional information related to the corresponding geographic entities,wherein a same amount of panning is required to traverse two different geographic information cards in the grid-pattern representing geographic regions having different sizes.
