Sharing video footage from audio/video recording and communication devices
First Claim
1. One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause an electronic device to perform operations comprising:
- receiving a first input indicating a first location;
based on receiving the first input, causing a map of an area that is associated with the first location to be displayed on a display;
transmitting first location data representing the first location to one or more devices;
based on transmitting the first location data, receiving, from the one or more devices, second location data representing a second location associated with an authorized A/V device;
based on receiving the second location data, causing the second location associated with the authorized A/V device to be displayed on the map;
based on transmitting the first location data, receiving, from the one or more devices, third location data representing a third location associated with a third-party A/V device;
based on receiving the third location data, causing the third location associated with the third-party A/V device to be displayed on the map;
receiving a second input indicative of a request, the request including a specified time window for first image data generated by the authorized A/V device and second image data generated by the third-party A/V device;
based on receiving the second input, transmitting request data representing the image data request to the one or more devices;
receiving, from the one or more devices, the first image data generated by the authorized A/V device during the specified time window; and
receiving, from the one or more devices, the second image data generated by the third-party A/V device during the specified time window.

Abstract
Video footage captured by A/V recording and communication devices may be readily uploaded to the cloud and shared with a requesting party, such as a law enforcement agency. When a request is received from a requesting party for video footage, videos meeting the criteria specified by the requesting party may be determined. Consent requests may then be sent to users associated with each of the A/V recording and communication devices that recorded the videos meeting the criteria specified by the requesting party. When user consents to share the videos, the videos may be provided to the requesting party.
