1. A stent, comprising:
- a first layer of electrospun polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fibers,a second layer of electrospun PTFE fibers, wherein the first and second layers have different porosities,a tie layer disposed between the first and second layers of electrospun PTFE fibers, wherein the tie layer is a non-porous fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) film that is impermeable to tissue ingrowth, wherein the film continuously extends to cover the first layer from a first layer proximal end to a first layer distal end; and
a scaffolding structure configured to resist radial compression when disposed in a lumen of a patient;
wherein the scaffolding structure comprises two longitudinal portions of different compressibilities.

Abstract
A stent or other prosthesis may be formed by coating a single continuous wire scaffold with a polymer coating. The polymer coating may consist of layers of electrospun polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Electrospun PTFE of certain porosities may permit endothelial cell growth within the prosthesis.
