1. A circuit for polarizing magnetic material using a magnetic field of an excitation coil, the circuit comprising:
- a port configured to provide a connection with a DC power supply,at least one capacitor, anddriver circuitry configured to drive the excitation coil and the at least one capacitor, wherein the driver circuitry is configured to;
activate a first mode of operation, wherein the circuit is configured to charge the excitation coil in the first mode of operation, andactivate a second mode of operation, wherein the circuit is configured to discharge the excitation coil via the at least one capacitor to the DC power supply in the second mode of operation,wherein the excitation coil and the at least one capacitor are connected in parallel in the first mode of operation and connected in series in the second mode of operation.

16. A method of polarizing magnetic material using a magnetic field of an excitation coil, the method comprising:

charging the excitation coil in a first operating mode; and discharging the excitation coil via at least one capacitor in a second operating mode, wherein the excitation coil and the at least one capacitor are connected in parallel in the first operating mode and connected in series in the second operating mode.
