1. A medical treatment system, comprising:
- a first support element having a longitudinal axis;
a body frame disposed about the longitudinal axis of the first support element, the body frame having a first portion and a second portion longitudinally offset from the first portion;
a first collar coupled to the first support element and positionable within the body frame; and
a first tether extending from the first portion of the body frame to the first collar such that when the first collar is positioned within the body frame, the first collar is rotatable such that the first tether sweeps through a range of motion without imparting substantial motion to the body frame,wherein the first tether is routed from the first support element outward through the body frame and proximally toward the second portion of the body frame.

Abstract
A thrombus treatment device includes a support wire, a body frame portion that is disposed about an axis defined by the support wire, one or more tethers that each have a first end and a second end. Each of the one or more tethers is attached at its first end to the body frame portion, and at its second end to a collar that couples the second end of each of the multiple tethers to the support wire. When the collar is advanced to a position substantially within a region interior of the body frame portion, a rotational actuation of the support wire causes a swiveling motion of the one or more tethers. The swiveling motion of the tethers operates to macerate a thrombus.

a support tube having a longitudinal axis, a lumen extending therethrough along the longitudinal axis, and a distal end; a body frame disposed about the longitudinal axis of the support tube, the body frame having a first portion and a second portion longitudinally offset from the first portion; and at least one tether extending between the first portion of the body frame and the distal end of the support tube such that when the distal end of the support tube is positioned within the body frame, the support tube is rotatable such that the at least one tether sweeps through a range of motion without imparting substantial motion to the body frame, wherein the at least one tether exits the support tube proximate to the distal end and is routed approximately radially outward through the body frame proximate to the first portion of the body frame and routed proximally toward the second portion of the body frame, wherein the at least one tether is located at least partially outside of a space defined by the body frame. - View Dependent Claims (18, 19, 20, 21, 22)
