A heart valve implant comprising a supporting stent, a heart valve element, and a skirt, wherein the skirt comprises or is formed of at least one molded body, wherein the at least one molded body is made of dried treated bacterial cellulose that has a swelling capacity that is greater than untreated bacterial cellulose of the same type, wherein a selected one of the at least one molded body has at least one area that has a lower swelling capacity than an adjacent area of the same selected one of the at least one molded body.
