1. A method for presenting navigation information on an interactive communication system of a vehicle by a mobile device, the method comprising:
- while the mobile device is disconnected from the interactive communication system;
receiving, by the mobile device, a first user input specifying search parameters for finding a destination location;
obtaining, by the mobile device, search results including at least one destination location;
receiving, by the mobile device, a second user input selecting a particular destination location from the search results;
in response to receiving the second user input, presenting, on a first display of the mobile device, a first graphical user interface that includes a first map region and a first graphical object identifying the particular destination location within the first map region;
detecting, by the mobile device, that a connection between the mobile device and the interactive communication system has been established; and
responsive to the detection, generating, by the mobile device and based on the second user input, a second graphical user interface for the interactive communication system, the second graphical user interface including a second map region corresponding to the particular destination location and a second graphical object identifying the particular destination location within the second map region;
causing, by the mobile device, the second graphical user interface to be presented on a second display of the interactive communication system.

Abstract
Some embodiments provide a method for a mobile device connected to a vehicle'"'"'s interactive communication system that includes a display screen. The method identifies at least one search term from audio data received through the vehicle'"'"'s interactive communication system. At the mobile device, the method performs a search to identify at least one location related to the identified search term. The method generates a map, that displays the identified location, for output on the display screen of the interactive communication system of the vehicle.
