Method and apparatus for soft tissue fixation
First Claim
1. A method of attaching soft tissue to bone, comprising:
- locating, over a first aperture and over a second aperture, respectively, in an outer surface of a soft tissue that is positioned over a bone;
at least part of a first adjustable loop and at least part of a second adjustable loop which are anchored to the bone via suture material that passes through the first aperture and through the second aperture, respectively, to the bone;
positioning a locking member along the outer surface of the soft tissue such that the locking member extends through the first adjustable loop and through the second adjustable loop; and
reducing a size of the first adjustable loop and a size of the second adjustable loop as the locking member is extending through the first adjustable loop and through the second adjustable loop so as to compress the soft tissue segment between the locking member and the bone.

Abstract
A tissue fixation apparatus can include a flexible construct and an elongated locking member. The flexible construct can include at least two adjustable loops and tensioning members. The two adjustable loops can be configured to pass through the first tissue, and to be spaced apart along an outer surface of the first tissue in a first direction. The tensioning members can extend from the two adjustable loops, and can be configured to reduce the two adjustable loops from a first size to a second size. The flexible construct can be attached to the second tissue by an anchor. The locking member can be configured to be received within the two adjustable loops at the first size, and to engage the two adjustable loops at the second size.

9. A method of attaching soft tissue to bone;
- comprising;
locating a first anchor in a bone with a first adjustable suture construct that is coupled to the first anchor extending from the first anchor and through a soft tissue that is positioned over the bone so that at least part of a first adjustable loop of the first adjustable suture construct is positioned along an outer surface of the soft tissue; locating a second anchor in the bone with a second adjustable suture construct that is coupled to the second anchor extending from the second anchor and through the soft tissue so that at least part of a second adjustable loop of the second adjustable suture construct is positioned along the outer surface of the soft tissue; positioning a locking member along the outer surface of the soft tissue such that the locking member extends through the first adjustable loop and through the second adjustable loop; and reducing a size of the first adjustable loop and a size of the second adjustable loop as the locking member is extending through the first adjustable loop and through the second adjustable loop so as to compress the soft tissue between the locking member and the bone. - View Dependent Claims (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15)
