- a frame having an opening to receive pressurized breathable gas;
at least one cushion to receive the pressurized breathable gas via the opening;
headgear including only two straps that connect with the patient interface to support the patient interface on the patient'"'"'s head, the headgear not including a chin strap; and
a stiffening support structure projecting away from each side of the frame to stabilize the patient interface on the patient'"'"'s head, each stiffening support structure being contoured to engage the patient'"'"'s cheek in use,wherein each said stiffening support structure includes an end with a slot to receive an end of a rear headgear.

Abstract
A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a frame having a main body and a side frame member provided on each lateral side of the main body. Each side frame member includes an integrally formed first connector portion. A headgear assembly is removably attachable to the frame. The headgear assembly has a second connector portion adapted to be removably coupled with the first connector portion provided on the frame. The second connector portion is manually movable to a releasing position to detach the headgear assembly from the frame. The headgear assembly is rotationally adjustable with respect to the frame.
