Abstract
The invention relates to data transmission from a network element to a network management system. In the invention, a response to be transmitted to the network management system is provided (306, 308) with at least one pointer indicating the location where to find additional information, before the response is transmitted. When requested by the operator, the network management system opens the additional information from the location indicated by the pointer. Thus, the operator need not establish a separate session and search information.
