Abstract

A user services and information management system and method is disclosed. In particular, the user services and information management system may be applied to a passenger information system for a cruise ship. The passenger information system may include a communications network, a server coupled to the communications network, and a terminal device including a processor and a display. The terminal device is in communications with the communications network and is configured to access information from the server. The passenger information system also includes a user interface provided on the display of the terminal device. The user interface includes the user selectable options and is configured to selectively provide passenger information to a cruise ship passenger.

  a user interface provided on the display of the terminal device, the user interface including user selectable options and configured to selectively provide user information to a ski resort user.

- a communications network;
  
  a server coupled to the communications network;
  
  a terminal device including a processor and a display, the terminal device in communications with the communications network and configured to access information from the server; and
  
  a user interface provided on the display of the terminal device, the user interface including visitor selectable options and configured to selectively provide visitor information to an amusement park visitor.

180. A user information system for a resort, comprising:
- a communications network;
  
  a server coupled to the communications network;
  
  a terminal device including a processor and a display, the terminal device in communications with the communications network and configured to access information from the server; and
  
  a user interface provided on the display of the terminal device, the user interface including user selectable options and configured to selectively provide user information to a resort user.

237. A method of providing site specific information to a user of a site, comprising:
- providing a site user with a portable electronic device including wireless communications electronics;
  
  accessing by the user a user interface with a plurality of user selectable information service options;
  
  selecting an information service option;
  
  communicating the selection from the portable electronic device to a site specific communications network; and
  
  receiving a response to the selection by the portable electronic device from the site specific communications network.
