Abstract
A cardiac implant cable comprising a set of more than six insulated leads, wrapped in a helix, in which said insulated leads form an angle with a line that is longitudinally aligned with the cable, of less than 45°. In this arrangement, the ratio of the lay length to the width of the insulated leads is typically greater than 16. This arrangement permits a greater number cf leads to be placed in a cable having a predetermined diameter, than would be possible for shorter lay lengths.
