a base portion having an upper end, a lower end, an outer peripheral surface, an inner peripheral surface, and an inner retaining space sized to substantially contain a pot or growing medium, and a skirt portion having an outer edge, the skirt portion extending from the upper end of the base portion; and
an upper sleeve portion connected to a portion of the lower portion and detachable therefrom via a detaching element, the upper sleeve portion comprising an accordion fold which is expandable in a substantially vertical direction from the lower portion.

an upper sleeve portion connected to a portion of the lower portion and detachable therefrom via a detaching element, the upper sleeve portion comprising an accordion fold which is expandable in a substantially vertical direction from the lower portion; and

an upper sleeve portion connected to a portion of the base portion, the upper sleeve portion comprising an accordion fold which extends circumferentially about an upper end of the base portion and which is expandable in a substantially vertical direction from the base portion. providing a plant or propagule; and
cultivating the plant or propagule in the floral container.
