An interactive voice response system integrated with cellular phone technology which uses wireless access protocol and/or handheld wireless Internet protocol devices to collect passenger pickup and destination addresses using nationwide database of addresses and phone numbers and to dispatch drivers to pick up passengers. The system has the capability of automatically detecting pickup location via automatic number identification and/or caller ID technology.
