Abstract

The present invention provides a device for administering an injectable product in doses, the device including a casing, a container accommodated by the casing, a delivering appliance for delivering the product from the container, a drive for the delivering appliance, and a means for determining a malfunction of the device, wherein a vibrator motor is accommodated by the casing, the vibrator motor being triggered by the means for determining a malfunction such that it generates a vibrating alarm signal when a malfunction is determined.

Claims

1. A device for administering an injectable product in doses, said device comprising:

a) a casing;

b) a container for the product, accommodated by the casing;

c) a delivering appliance for delivering the product from the container;

d) a drive means for the delivering appliance;

e) and a means for determining a malfunction of the device, wherein

f) a vibrator motor is accommodated by the casing, said vibrator motor being triggered by the means for determining a malfunction such that it generates a vibrating alarm signal when a malfunction is determined.

2. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein the means for determining a malfunction comprises a sensor, and compares a reading of the sensor with an index value for the reading and triggers the vibrator motor depending on the result of the comparison.

3. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein the vibrator motor is connected to a control system for the drive means and is triggered by the control system and vibrates when the device is primed.

4. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein, when no malfunction of the device is determined, the vibrator motor is periodically triggered by the control system, such that the vibrator motor periodically generates a vibrating signal which is characteristic of the device operating unhindered.

5. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein a drive motor of the drive means forms the vibrator motor.

6. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein the vibrator motor is a separate motor from a drive motor of the drive means.

7. A device for administering an injectable product in doses, said device comprising:

a) a casing;

b) a container for the product, accommodated by the casing;

c) a delivering appliance for delivering the product from the container;

d) a drive means for the delivering appliance;

e) and an input means for inputs to the device from a user, wherein

f) a vibrator motor is accommodated by the casing;

g) the input means is connected to the vibrator motor; and

wherein

h) when the input means confirms an input, the vibrator motor is triggered and as confirmation of an input generates a vibrating signal which is characteristic of the input.

8. The device as set forth in claim 7, wherein the vibrator motor is connected to a control system for the drive means, is triggered by the control system and vibrates when the device is primed.

9. The device as set forth in claim 7, wherein, when no malfunction of the device is determined, the vibrator motor is periodically triggered by the control system, such that the vibrator motor periodically generates a vibrating signal which is characteristic of the device operating unhindered.

10. The device as set forth in claim 7, wherein a drive motor of the drive means forms the vibrator motor.

11. The device as set forth in claim 7, wherein the vibrator motor is a separate motor from a drive motor of the drive means.

The device according to claim 12, wherein the operational conditions include normal operational conditions and impermissibly large deviations from the normal operational conditions, and the impermissibly large deviations from the normal operational conditions triggering the vibrating alarm signal.

14. The device as set forth in claim 13, wherein, when no impermissibly large deviation is detected, the vibrator motor periodically generates a vibrating signal indicative of normal operational conditions.

12. A device for administering an injectable product in doses, said device comprising:

a casing;

a container for the product, accommodated by the casing;

an appliance for delivering the product from the container;

a drive motor for the moving the appliance;

a sensor for monitoring operational conditions of the device; and

a vibrator motor associated with the casing, said vibrator motor operably coupled to and triggered by the sensor, such that it generates a vibrating alarm signal when an operational condition occurs.
