Abstract

A system, method, and article of manufacture are provided for handling supply chain data in different locations. First, data relating to a supply chain is received from a first location utilizing a network. Such data is maintained in accordance with a first set of rules associated with the first location. Further, the data is received at a second location utilizing the network. In operation, the data is translated in accordance with a second set of rules associated with the second location.

Claims

1. A method for handling supply chain data in different locations, comprising the steps of:

(a) transmitting data relating to a supply chain from a first location utilizing a network, wherein the data is maintained in accordance with a first set of rules associated with the first location;

(b) receiving the data at a second location utilizing the network; and

(c) transforming the data in accordance with a second set of rules associated with the second location.

2. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein the supply chain is an apparel supply chain.

3. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein the first location and the second location include a first region and a second region.

4. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein the first location and the second location include a first country and a second country.

5. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein the data is received utilizing a network.

6. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein the rules include laws.

7. A computer program product for handling supply chain data in different locations, comprising:

(a) computer code for transmitting data relating to a supply chain from a first location utilizing a network, wherein the data is maintained in accordance with a first set of rules associated with the first location;

(b) computer code for receiving the data at a second location utilizing the network; and

(c) computer code for transforming the data in accordance with a second set of rules associated with the second location.

8. The computer program product as recited in claim 7, wherein the supply chain is an apparel supply chain.

9. The computer program product as recited in claim 7, wherein the first location and the second location include a first region and a second region.

10. The computer program product as recited in claim 7, wherein the first location and the second location include a first country and a second country.

11. The computer program product as recited in claim 7, wherein the data is received utilizing a network.

12. The computer program product as recited in claim 7, wherein the rules include laws.

14. The system as recited in claim 13, wherein the supply chain is an apparel supply chain.

15. The system as recited in claim 13, wherein the first location and the second location include a first region and a second region.

16. The system as recited in claim 13, wherein the first location and the second location include a first country and a second country.

17. The system as recited in claim 13, wherein the data is received utilizing a network.

18. The system as recited in claim 13, wherein the rules include laws.

13. A system for handling supply chain data in different locations, comprising:

(a) logic for transmitting data relating to a supply chain from a first location utilizing a network, wherein the data is maintained in accordance with a first set of rules associated with the first location;

(b) logic for receiving the data at a second location utilizing the network; and

(c) logic for transforming the data in accordance with a second set of rules associated with the second location.
