Catheter with balloon
First Claim
1. A catheter with a balloon, comprising a double tube consisting of an inner tube and an outer tube disposed concentrically and a balloon fastened at one end to the inner tube and at the other end to the outer tube, and further satisfying the following requirement (A) or (B):
- (A) Without any air-extracting tube provided between the outer tube and the inner tube, the outer diameter of the outer tube is 4 mm or less, and the average bending moment of the outer tube at 40 cm or less from the tip of the tube at a bending angle of 45 degrees is in a range of 70 to 250 g·
cm. (B) The inner diameter d3 of a balloon-extending pipe stopper provided at the tip of the inner tube is in such a range that the inner diameter d3 is not substantially different in level from the inner diameter d4 of a balloon-extending pipe that is inserted into the inner tube and brought into contact with the balloon-extending pipe stopper for axial extension and radial contraction of the balloon.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a catheter with a balloon, comprising a double tube consisting of an inner tube and an outer tube disposed concentrically and a balloon fastened at one end to the inner tube and at the other end to the outer tube, and further satisfying the following requirement (A) or (B):
(A) Without any air-extracting tube provided between the outer tube and the inner tube, the outer diameter of the outer tube is 4 mm or less, and the average bending moment of the outer tube at 40 cm or less from the tip of the tube at a bending angle of 45 degrees is in a range of 70 to 250 g·cm.
The present invention can reduce the tube diameter of a catheter with a balloon, can reduce the number of necessary parts, can improve the manipulation convenience when the tip of the catheter with a balloon is inserted into an incision of a blood vessel, and can improve the manipulation convenience for moving the catheter in a blood vessel.
