Abstract

Described is a composition for a hair-treatment preparation which is preferably in the form of an optically clear, transparent or translucent product that can be used as an aerosol foam and contains (A) at least one nonionic, amphiphilic associative thickener in an appropriate cosmetic carrier and (B) at least one propellant. The preparation can be used as a leave-in hair treatment or as a hair rinse which condition the hair and confers to it luster and volume.

Claims

1. Composition for a hair-treatment preparation containing

A) at least one nonionic, amphiphilic associative thickener in an appropriate cosmetic carrier and

B) at least one propellant.

2. Composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the associative thickener is selected from among hydrophobically modified polyalkylene glycols.

3. Composition according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the associative thickener is selected from among hydrophobically modified aminoplast/polyether copolymers.

4. Composition according to one of the preceding claims, characterized In that the associative thickener is selected from among polymers having general formula (I)

5. Composition according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the thickener is selected from among the resction products formed by the acid-catalyzed reaction of a glycoluril derivative, a polyalkylene glycol and an alkoxylated hydrocarbon.

6. Composition according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the thickener is selected from among polyether 1, PEG 180/octoxynol 40/TMMG copolymer and PEG 180/laureth 50/TMMG copolymer.

7. Composition according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the propellant is selected from among n-butane, isobutane, propane, dimethyl ether, fluorohydrocarbons and mixtures of said propellants.

8. Composition according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it contains additionally at least one hair-care substance (C) which contains at least one cationic group.

9. Composition according to claim 8, characterized in that the hair-care cationlc substance Is selected from among catlonic surfactants, polymers with cationic or cationizable groups, cationically derivatized proteins, cationically derivatized protein hydrolyzates and betaine.

10. Composition according to claim 9, characterized in that the cationic surfactant is selected from among compounds of formula (III) N^[+]R1R²R³R⁴ X^[−

] (III) wherein R¹ to R⁴ independently of each other denote aliphatic groups, aromatic groups, alkoxy groups, polyoyyalkylene groups, alkylamido groups, hydroxyalkyl groups, aryl groups or alkaryl groups with 1 to 22 carbon atoms and X<sup>[−

]</sup> denotes an anion.

Composition according to claim 9, characterized in that the polymer with cationic or cationizable groups is selected from among methylvinylimidazolium chlorIde/vinylpyrrolidone copolymers, quaternized vinylpyrrolidone/dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymers, cationically derivatized polysaccharldes, chitosan, chitosan salts and chitosan derivatives.

12. Composition according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it contains additionally at least one silicone compound (D) which contains at least one hydrophilic group.

13. Composition according to claim 12, characterized in that the hydrophilic group of the silicone compound is selected from among hydroxyl groups, primary, secondary or tertiary amino groups, quaternary ammonium groups, alkylene oxide groups, betaine groups and thiosulfate groups.

14. Composition according to claim 12 or 13, characterized in that the silicone compound with at least one hydrophilic group is selected from among silicone compounds with cationic groups, hydroxy-substituted siloxanes, siloxane/polyoxyalkylene copolymers and amino-substituted siloxanes.

15. Hair-treatment preparation containing a composition according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is in an optically clear form.

16. Hair-treatment product consisting of transparent or translucent packaging containing a composition according to one of the preceding claims.
