Abstract

An internet facsimile apparatus (IFAX) can normally function even on a network managed by the HTTP protocol, in a system where an e-mail communicator receives e-mail from an IFAX according to the SMTP protocol, an HTML processor converts the e-mail data into an HTML data, an URL converter converts the destination address of the e-mail data into a URL format, and an HTML communicator transmits the HTML data to the converted URL according to the HTTP protocol.

Claims

1. A communication control apparatus comprising:

an e-mail communicator that receives e-mail according to the SMTP protocol;

an HTML data converter that converts the e-mail data into an HTML data;

a URL converter that converts a destination address of the e-mail data into a URL format; and

an HTTP communication processor that transmits the HTML data to the URL converted by the URL converter, according to the HTTP protocol.

2. The communication control apparatus of claim 1, wherein, the URL converter converts an “

@”

mark in the destination address into a dot, and adds “

HTTP;

//”

at the beginning of the converted mail address, whereby, the mail address is converted into a URL format.

3. A communication control apparatus comprising:

an HTTP communication processor that receives HTML data according to the HTTP protocol;

an e-mail data converter that converts the HTML data into an e-mail data;

an address converter that converts a URL designated by the HTML data into an e-mail address format; and

an e-mail communicator that transmits the e-mail data to an e-mail address converted by the address converter, according to the SMTP protocol.

4. The communication control apparatus of claim 3, wherein, the address converter deletes the “

HTTP;

//”

in the URL and further converts a dot into an “

@”

mark, whereby, the URL is converted into an e-mail address format.

5. A communication control method comprising:

receiving e-mail according to the SMTP protocol;

converting the e-mail data into an HTML data;

converting a destination address of the e-mail data into a URL format; and

transmitting the HTML data to the converted URL according to the HTTP protocol.

6. A communication control method comprising:

receiving an HTML data according to the HTTP protocol;

converting the HTML data into e-mail data;

converting a URL designated by the HTML data into an e-mail address format; and

transmitting the e-mail data to an e-mail address converted by the address converter, according to the SMTP protocol.
